COLOSSIANS 1:6 NLT
This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God’s wonderful grace.
UPWARD JOY
Following Jesus means that our joy is found in Him above all else. Seeking love and joy from our human relationships, work, resources, or circumstances will only lead us to despair and frustration. Our church aspires to be community that consistently points to Jesus as the source of all enjoyment and is committed to a culture of enjoying Him and all His good gifts.
INWARD REST
Following Jesus means abiding in Him above all else. Jesus calls us to unceasingly connect with Him through the means of grace. Out of this union with Jesus flows all fruit of the Christian life. Our church aspires to be a community that emphasizes inner spiritual health and creates a cultural practice of resting (relaxing) in the gospel individually and corporately. We believe that this inward rest results in renewal of the whole person from the inside out unto obedience and faith.
OUTWARD RECONCILIATION
Following Jesus means having a heart that loves those outside the faith. We do not see ministry as an optional part of faith, but as central to a culture of following Jesus. Our church aspires to be a community that trains and encourages every member to be ministers of the gospel in their specific spheres of life. We believe that the church is called to ministry of reconciliation: heavenly ambassadors seeking to persuade the world to be reconciled to God and to one another through Jesus. We also desire to create pathways for our church to serve the lost, the marginalized, and the poor in our society.
